Helene Baldwin- Stockton Obituary
Helene was born to Floyd and Dollye Fisher in Bakersfield and raised in Kernville. She attended local schools and graduated from Kern County Union High School in 1940. The same year she was married to Harold
(Bud) Baldwin.
During the Second World War, they moved to North Hollywood , where they built airplanes at North American Aviation. They had two children, Rodney and Debra. Bud served in the Army during the Korean War and had a career with Southern California Edison.
Helene taught classical piano and held private lessons in her home. She was married to Bud for forty nine years until he passed away. She then married Irving Stockton and they were married for 21 years. They were avid dancers and enjoyed traveling .
Her daughter, Debra, preceded her in death in 2012. She is survived by her husband, Irving; son Rodney, son-in-law Lenard Moberg, grandchildren Whitney Baldwin (Kristina), Katherine Godbey, Robbie Dalziel (Melissa), Abby Dalziel, and Odessa Breitmeier (Sigfried), step- grandchildren Brandon and Brent Moberg, great granchildren Lucas Baldwin, Benjamin Baldwin, Wesley Baldwin, Lily Baldwin, Casey Godbey, Christopher Dalziel and Anabelle Dalziel.
Services are Saturday, May 10 at 11:00 A.M. at Unity Church of Bakersfield, 1619 E Street, (Southwest corner of Truxtun Ave. at E Street), followed by a reception at 6105 Indian Wells Ave., Bakersfield.
