He is survived by his daughter Monique and husband Mike Bernal and their family, Casey, Anthony, Nicole, Nico and his son Lucas. Daughter Terry, and her children Carlos, Joerry and her son Liam. Sons Henry and wife Kimberly and their children Julian, Christopher and John. Eric and his children, Tiffany and husband Matt and their daughter Addison, Damen and Ryan. Sergio and wife Marin and their children Isabella and Roman. Brother John Sanchez and wife Connie, sisters Connie Gallardo, Toni Aros and Mary Cruz Saldana and husband Joe. Sister in law Conchita Nieto. Special friends Alicia Reyes and Felix Vasquez, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
Henry married the love of his life Terry on April 20, 1963, and together they raised 5 children. He devoted much of his time to Our Lady of Guadalupe School and Church with our mom by his side to provide his children with our Catholic faith.
At the age of 32, with his wife and family, working full time he decided to go back to school. He graduated from California State University Bakersfield, with honors, in 1977. He retired from the Department of Human Services as a social worker where his coworkers nicked named him the "marshmallow" because he was so soft and kind hearted.
Our dad was the best father any of us could ever have, he was funny, gentle, kind and a simple man whose treasures were his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was a man of great integrity and strong faith and always put his family first before, his own needs. Our comfort is that our dad is now with our mom who he missed every day until he died. Forever in our hearts our favorite "love birds."
