Obituary

Howard James Claudino was born on August 24, 1928, in Bakersfield to Frank and Ida Claudino. He attended local schools, graduating from Kern County High School in 1946, Bakersfield College in 1948 and UCLA in 1950.
In the Summer of 1950 he married his high school sweetheart, Beverly Walford, and they raised three children: Patricia, Linda and Michael. In the Fall of 1950 he was drafted and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Upon returning home he worked as Purchasing Agent and as a Salesman for Hoppers for 25 years. He remarried in 1982 and moved to Victorville where he worked for Patton Sales until retiring in 1993.
Howard was an avid round and square dancer, water skied and was a polar bear member of the Kern County Boat Club for fifteen years. He was a member of Seniors with Inquiring Minds (SWIM) and attended Jess Ranch Community Church in Apple Valley.
He is survived by his wife, Sally, his daughters, Patricia Taylor and Linda Claudino; two stepchildren, Eric Keller and Linda Smith, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael.
Visiting hours will be from noon to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 9, at Greenlawn Mortuary on River Boulevard, and a service will be held on Monday, February 10, at Greenlawn at 10:00 a.m.
