Howard Robert Levich Obituary
Howard was born to David & Ruth Levich in Brooklyn, NY. He was the youngest child with two older sisters, Cecile (Meyer) and Marilyn. At a young age his family moved out to California. He graduated from Verdugo Hills High School in Tujunga where he met the love of his life Wanda Lou, better known as My Dear.
He earned his law degree while working at a grocery store. He began his career at the Kern County Public Defender's office and moved his family to Bakersfield, retiring after 30 years. Soon after he required a heart transplant and came to faith in Christ. Surviving 6 1/2 years of obstacles, his faith gave him the strength to not only persevere but to do so with a cheerful heart.
His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends, and doing for others. His hobbies included restoring and racing cars, shopping with coupons at Harbor Freight, and restoring slot machines, which turned into an obsession.
At his passing he was surrounded by his loving wife Wanda Lou, daughter April, and numerous loved ones.
A celebration of Howard's life will be held at the Bridge Bible Church on Saturday October 29th at 11:00am.
