Ignacio "Nacho" Domingo Cervantes August 4 1932- September 26, 2013 Ignacio "Nacho" Domingo Cervantes was born on August 4 1932 in Arvin, California to Ignacio and Francisca Cervantes, and moved to Bakersfield shortly after his birth. He passed away September 26, 2013 in Barstow, CA. Ignacio was preceded in death by his parents, his son Dominic, and brothers Socorro and Frank. He is survived by his wife Petra, his sons Danny and Dennis and 6 grandchildren, his sisters Bea Cervantes, Teresa Rodriguez (Manuel), Mary Valdes and brother Jess, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Nacho attended Our Lady of Guadalupe School and graduated from Garces High School, then attended Bakersfield College for 2 years. He began working for the railroad as an inspector in Bakersfield and was later transferred to Barstow where he continued to work until he retired after working more than 30 years. He loved his family, and was always ready to share a funny story or give his opinion on any subject. His family looked forward to seeing him at the annual Cervantes Easter get together. He will be sorely missed by all. A memorial mass will be celebrated in Bakersfield at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 601 East California Avenue on Saturday October 26th at 11:30 a.m. www.bakersfield.com/obits
