Ilean Drugich Obituary
Ilean Drugich 1940 - 2012 Ilean Drugich of Earlimart, California died peacefully in her home on August 19, 2012. She was Born in Broadwater, Nebraska to Lyle and Dollie Drugich. As a beloved big sister caring for her six siblings on their family farm in Michigan, she had lots of practice making her the best mother and "Ammy" imaginable. This was the accomplishment she cherished most in life. She is survived by her father and five siblings in Michigan. She is also survived by her four children; Jolean, Lorlean, Jonathan and Job; and her grandchildren Zeke, Isaac, Valerie, Brandi, Jonna, J.T, Alyssa and Andrew and her great grandchildren Eliani, Brooklyn, Kaleb and Chase. She nurtured us, loved us unconditionally and taught us to love and trust God in all things. Her calling in life was to care for those who needed it most and she expressed it in her 25 year career as an activities director for the elderly in skilled nursing facilities, as a foster mother and a compassionate friend to those who were friendless. Ilean flowed through life like the gentle breezes in her backyard, touching those she passed. Always appreciative of the beauty in nature, she loved her many pets and the peaceful oasis she created in her yard. She was full of strength and grace throughout her battle with cancer and in her death. She lived her life by the motto "Only one life will soon be past, only what is done for Christ will last." A video tribute of her life can be accessed online at http://youtu.be/ARLj5fiQ3sw A Visitation will be held on Monday, August 27, 2012 from 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. with a celebration of her life following at 10:00 a.m. at People's Funeral Chapel; 501 N. Douty Street, Hanford, CA 93230 559-584-5591 with Burial to follow at Hanford Cemetery; 10500 10th Avenue, Hanford, CA 93230 559-584-3937. In lieu of flowers and donations mom would like it if you would plant a flower, enjoy its fragrance, thank God for its intricate beauty and as the morning breeze touches you think of her.
