1942 - 2015 Obituary Condolences
Ivan Floyd "Fatboy" Hanson Obituary
Born September 26, 1942 to Carroll and Ruth Marie Hanson in Port Gamble, Washington, passed away after a lengthy illness, June 18, 2015.
Always known as Floyd or "Fatboy", he spread his good cheer, unparalleled humor and overwhelming kindness to everyone he knew or met. He said many times he had a "multitude" of friends and he absolutely did from all parts of the world. He never met a stranger and became instant and fast friends with everyone he met. Always willing and ready to provide a helping hand, he wanted to be remembered as "good help" and someone who could be counted on no matter the adversity or need.
Old cars and F100 Ford pickup trucks were his passion and through this love came countless friends. If you had an old car question or problem or you needed to find a part, he was your "go to" guy.
With his passing, there will be a longing for his presence but with the knowledge and understanding that will we meet again. Until that reunion, we will all have our memories of many, many good times with Floyd.
Left behind to mourn his great loss are his wife Catherine, brother Carroll and beloved wife Joan, brother Cleatus Bomar, sister Ruth Ann, daughter Raynita Williams and beloved son-in-law Kenny, son Michael Hanson and beloved daughter-in-law Lisa, grandson Ryan Womack (Melissa) and granddaughter, Ginny Ray Hanson. Many step children, step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins, all very much loved by Floyd and who will miss him dearly.
