James (Jimmy Bee) Blandford Obituary

Jimmy Bee had been doing a tribute to Elvis for 50 years. After serving 2 tours in Viet Nam, he toured with a carnival show performing in many cities across the USA including Las Vegas. He had lived in Bakersfield for 30 years jamming with bar bands and singing karaoke. He also performed regularly at the Kern Count Fair and entertained at several benefits and fund raisers. Jimmy was always the life of the party. He was thankful to be alive, always said grace before a meal, and lived life to the fullest.

He is survived by ex wife Karen Collard,, daughter Lisa Marie Bennett,, and son in law Tucker, grandson Ian, brother Emmett Blandford, sister Rose Bailey and nieces and nephews who knew him as "Unka Jim". He also leaves behind friends Randy Calderon, Cheryl Allen, JoMurial, Richard Koerner, Ish Cardona, Robert Rivera, Fred Ramirez, Vicky Duke, Carol Waller, Henry Salcido, and others. He was loved and will be missed by many more.

Services will be held on Friday, April 8th, 2pm at Bakersfield National Cemetery followed by a celebration of life/ pot luck, 4 pm at the Old West Saloon bar 1807 N. Chester Ave.
