James Elvin Malone Obituary
James Elvin Malone 1946 - 2012 On April 16, 1946 James Elvin Malone entered this world. He was born in Bakersfield, CA and became a respected mason who took great pride in his work, and was considered by many one of the best in his field. He worked for Jim Weaver and had many friends and family in that trade. Jim was happiest when camping in the mountains or out on the river with his family and dogs. He loved hunting and deep sea fishing with his buddies and betting on football games with Roger. He liked listening to country music and singing Hank Williams songs. He loved cooking for others and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was full of life and brought laughter to our world. Jim was preceded in death by his birth mother, Opal Pope; and his son, James Jr. (Little Jimmy). He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Joyce Lee Malone; his mother, Ruth Valdez; his brothers, John Nelson, Gary Francis and James Valdez; sisters, Pat Ybarra, Lana Bencoma, Debbie Oates, Tina Valdez and Denise Palmer; children, Christle Nicklaus, Jason Malone, Nathan Malone, Debra Ware, Teresa Robins and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He left this world on October 27, 2012, but will always be in our hearts. We love you Dad. Give Grandpa and brother a hug for us. No services will be held. www.bakersfield.com/obits
