James Tazioli Obituary
James Gino Tazioli, 92, passed away at home on October 31, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Bakersfield on August 5, 1922, and has spent his entire life in the Bakersfield- Buttonwillow area as a farmer. Farming was in his blood. He loved the land and was always proud of the crops he produced.
James was a quiet man, but, when he spoke, his words had meaning. His word was his bond; one never had to ask him twice. If a person was James's friend, he was there for life.
James, most of all, loved his family. His parents, Joseph and Rose Tazioli, preceded him in death. Survivors include his devoted wife, Peggy, son Robert of Phoenix, Arizona, daughter Gina of Medford, Oregon, and daughter Shawna Monroe and husband Steven. Others are grandchildren Andrea Tazioli and Derek Tazioli of Phoenix, Stephen Tazioli and Angelina Basile of Medford, Oregon, and Mackenzie Davis and Skye Monroe of Bakersfield. There are also 5 great-grandchildren. James also leaves 1 sister Betty Fanucchi of Bakersfield.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, November 6, 2014, at 9:00 AM at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church 900 H Street with burial to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery-River Blvd.
Pallbearers will be Robert Tazioli, Peter Elieff, Steven Monroe, Jerry Richards, Derek Tazioli, and Stephen Tazioli. No visitation scheduled
