Jean "Ralph" Anderson Obituary
Jean "Ralph" Anderson January 15, 1924 - January 8, 2013 Born to Rayburn Anderson and Stella Hall Anderson in Somerton, AZ. Ralph fell in love and married Betty Louise Anderson in 1946. Together they were farmers and business owners for a span of over 50 years. Ralph was a local farmer and business owner in Kern County for more than 70 years. He was admired and loved by all that knew him. Ralph was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed many hobbies and interests from writing and music to inventing farm equipment. His love for hunting and fishing was important but, more than anything love and caring for his family was always his top priority. Ralph joined the Army in WWII and became a member of the Army Air Corp. He graduated from college in New Hampshire. While in the Air Corp. he traveled around the world. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and wife; brothers, Harold and Clarence; and sister, Rachel. Ralph is survived by daughter, Jeannie and husband Doug Renois of Bakersfield, CA; daughter, Marilyn and husband Harold "Chuck" Todd of Bakersfield, CA; granddaughter, Shannon Mason and husband Thom Mason of Coos Bay, OR; and great granddaughter, Hannah Mason of Coos Bay, OR; sisters, Elsie Dargatz of northern CA, Helen Fester of Porterville, CA, Pauline and Al Allen of Tulare, CA; brother, Paul Anderson of Missouri; and an extended family of several generations of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 18, 10:00 a.m., at Mission Family Mortuary, 531 California Ave., Bakersfield, CA. A Military graveside service will follow at 1:15 p.m. at Bakersfield National Cemetery.
