Jeremy Edward Book February 5, 1974 - October 22, 2012 Jeremy Book arrived on February 5, 1974 in San Bernardino, CA and was taken to be with the Lord on October 22, 2012. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Book; grandfather, Curtis Steele; and cousin, Jeffery Barnett. Jeremy was raised in Bakersfield attending Seibert Elementary, Thompson Jr. High and West High School. Jeremy worked as a courtesy clerk for Von's in his younger years and in the oilfields for a number of years. He is survived by his mother, Brenda Book; son, Jeremy Book Jr.; grandmother, Peggy Steele-Wright; father, Raymond Book; nephew, Nicolas Thomasy; favorite Aunt/Uncle, Sandra and Kenny Barnett; cousin, Kevin Barnett; Uncle Clayton Steele; his ex-wife, Christy Grover; and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles. He enjoyed his hobbies: music fishing and everyday activities while living a very simplified life. He will be greatly missed. Memorial services will be held on Friday, November 2nd, at 4:00 p.m., at Mish Funeral Home, 120 Minner Ave., Bakersfield, CA. www.bakersfield.com/obits
