Jerry Alan Miller Obituary
Jerry passed away peacefully in his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Jerry was born in Los Angeles, CA on 5/5/55 at 5 pm to parents George and Margaret Miller. He grew up in Simi Valley, CA and relocated to Bakersfield over 20 years ago.
Jerry found the love of his life Clara and married her in 2002. They enjoyed traveling, many camping trips, cruises, and family gatherings together.
Jerry enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved camping, golfing, fishing, and most of all Bar-B-Queuing!! He had a passion for hot rods and classic cars, especially his 1967 Chevy Camaro. He also loved spending his time at car shows and races.
Jerry worked in concrete construction with his lifelong friend Bob Cheshire before working at Terry Bedford Concrete Construction.
Jerry is preceded in death by his mother Margaret and father George.
He leaves behind his wife Clara, stepdaughter Christina Huff, son-in-law Joshua Huff, stepson Clay Jones, grandson Hunter, granddaughter's Payton and Tysen, twin brother James Miller, brother Howard Miller, and many family and friends who will miss him dearly.
A Celebration of life honoring Jerry will be held at Vessels of Honor Church located at 225 Chester Ave., Bakersfield, CA 93301 on Saturday August 2nd, 2014 at 11:00am. A reception will immediately follow services and directions will be provided.
Jerry was an honest man with integrity who brightened the world around him. The kindness he showed to his family and friends will be tremendously missed.
