Although I only knew Jerry for a brief time, he was a kind man. Whenever I went to see him, he always extended a warm hand in welcome. To sum up his character in a word, Jerry was a man of integrity. He was well known and respected, both within his community and family. He was a man that had spunk. When he wanted anything, boy he let you know it! Dale would have to go get him Subway; only the freshest baked bread. He would see a commercial on TV and he would want to have it. He was a big kid like that. Jerry had a loving family that cared for him, and it showed. I am sorry for your loss.

'You guys are goofy" is what Jerry always told us boys when we came to the house with Mike and Eric. He always had a funny joke and kind words of wisdom to impart on all of us. He didn't really mind that Bob Carlson didn't ask before raiding the fridge. His spirit for fun will be missed by all of us.

We have known Jerry forever because he is like family to us.
We have shared many laughs,he had the best sence of humor even when he was mad he was funny. We will miss him dearly. With tearful eyes we watched him suffer, and saw him fade away. Now he is peaceful and free of pain. He is following the path God laid for him.

Jer, I can't begin to tell you what it has meant to me to have you as a friend for most of my life. You have been there for me, you have brightened my life with all the fun we have had in our adventures together over the years. I want to thank you for all the things you taught me about life and people. The memories I have of you and all the "Espo" stories are priceless treasures that I will carry with me the rest of my life. They just don't make them like you anymore. I will never forget you and all you did for our beloved Oceano. Rest in peace and know that you were loved by so many. Thanks for everything. Be nice to my dad and Sue, they love you, too. My deepest sympathy to Dale and the family. We have lost someone so special, but we have our memories and our love to keep us going.
Your pal, Linda

I first met Jerry in 1981 when I moved down the street from he and Dale in Oceano. Having both come from Bakersfield we shared a lot of the same friends and told stories everyday he walked down the street in his bathrobe and slippers. I became good friends with the whole family and have so many great memories. Dale and Family, enjoy the celebration of his life because it was one heck of a ride!

Love you all,
