Jerry Ruse Obituary
Jerry died peacefully at home with family after suffering a debilitating stroke. Jerry was a Marine Corp Veteran from the Korean War. He lived his life as an adventure, first as an abalone diver off the coast of California, then traveling the world as a deep sea diver working oil fields and salvage. He died as he lived, courageous and with no evidence of fear. Jerry loved golf, painting, skied the slopes in Alaska, and worked at the food ministry in his church. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Vonnie, and a legacy of four sons, Michael, Steven, Kirk and Eric. Their wives Deanna, Patricia and Gina, and 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He will be missed by many friends and family. He is now resting in the arms of his Lord ready for a new adventure.
A service will be held Sunday, 1:00 p.m., September 20th at Greenlawn Southwest Funeral Home, 2739 Panama Lane, Bakersfield, Ca 93313
