Jimmy Dale Sandlin Obituary
A Celebration of Life will be held at Christ's Church of the Valley (13701 Stockdale Hwy.) on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Our beloved Jimmy returned home on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 7:32 a.m. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends. His passing was very peaceful and we know his Mom and Dad welcomed him home with open loving arms. Our handsome Jimmy was loved beyond measure by his family and he will be deeply missed. Jimmy lived a full and action packed life doing it his way by his rules. Often referred to as "Cowboy Jim". He was a long haul truck driver and loved driving eighteen wheelers across country with country music blasting. He loved to party and have a good time. He was a modern day cowboy and was mistaken often for Alan Jackson. He had a big soft heart for underdogs, babies and animals and would do anything to help them out. Jimmy was born the second child to John and Jean Sandlin.
Jimmy is survived by his son, Kevin and wife Jessa and their wonderful son Erik; Erik's beautiful meemaw, Carolyn Sandlin; sister, Patsy Kasinger (Wayne Kasinger); sister, Shirley Folkner (Jim Folkner); nieces and nephews, Michelle Folkner, Leslie Hester, Jason Hester, Savannah Hester, Daniel Folkner, Alise Fillmore, Eliza Rose Folkner, Hannah Kirk and Rocky Kirk. A special thank you to Dela Cadiz for being in Jimmy's life.
