Joe Joseph Ralph Summons Obituary
"Joe" Joseph Ralph Summons January 2, 1953 to July 26, 2013 Born in Sydney, Montana on January 2, 1953. Moved to California at an early age and remained here his adult life making many friends. The love of my life passed away today, July 26, 2013. What can I say about a man who loved his family very much. Joe was one of the last few true gentlemen left in this world. When a lady entered the room he would always stand and when she left he would always walk her out. I guess you could say his Mother raised him to be a gentleman. When it came to his job at Bolthouse Farms he gave a 110% no matter what. But Joe wasn't satisfied to have one job, he also was, as his friends and customers would say, " The best plumber in Bakersfield." Joe could fix anything that needed to be fixed. Chances are if you were in need of a part he probably had it in his lunch box, he always had a large box not for lunch but stuff. Joe loved to go deer hunting every year with his BEST FRIEND Don Myers and other friends and family, It only took him 30 years to finally shoot one. It must not have been looking at him. He hunted pretty much whatever was in season. Joe is preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Evonne Summons; his brother Jon Summons; and his grandparents. Survived by his wife of 31years Susie Summons; sister Jean Fanucchi (Paul) and Andrea Terwillger; daughters Tara Smith (Scott) and Lisa Breazeale (Charles); sons Michael Summons (Jennifer), Gary Bugni, Kevin Bugni (Kelly) and Jerod Summons. He was also blessed with 17 grandchildren that he was very proud of. There will be no services. There will be a " Celebration of Life" to be held at a later date. www.bakersfield.com/obits
