John Booth Westover March 17, 1926 - August 16, 2012 John Booth Westover left this earth in peace on August 16, 2012 in Bakersfield, California. He was born on March 17, 1926 in American Falls, Idaho. John was a commercial and corporate airline pilot for over 40 years where he retired with Hewlett Packard Corporation. After retiring from Hewlett Packard, John and his wife, Sylvia retired in Taos, New Mexico. John was a founding member of the Taos New Mexico Country Club where he played three to four rounds of golf a week, walking all 18 holes every time he played. John was a member of the Albuquerque, New Mexico QB (Quiet Birdsmen) Pilot Organization and joined the local group when he moved to Bakersfield. He enjoyed flying airplanes, golfing, reading books, and watching sports on TV. He is survived by his sons Michael Westover (wife - Victoria) and Theodore Westover, brother Ralph Westover, and grandchildren Gillian Campbell, Lindsay Campbell, Evan Campbell, Raven Van Dyke and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his first wife Becky of 20 years, wife Sylvia Westover of 40 years, and daughter Rebecca Van Dyke. His family would like to especially thank the girls Kimmie, Jacque, Frankie, Natalie, Tamara, Mystery, and Misty, who took care of John and Sylvia from the time they moved to Bakersfield until the time of his death.
