John Le Blanc Obituary

John Edward Le Blanc 1918 - 2010 John Edward Le Blanc "Uncle Ed" was born October 19, 1918 and went to be with our Lord on September 14, 2010. Ed was born to Henry and Alice on a ranch in Pixley, CA. From 1940 til 1944 Ed worked for Douglas Aircraft when he was drafted by the U.S. Army and served in World War II until 1946. Ed was awarded numerous metals including the Bronze Star, upon discharge Ed returned to Farming. He served as a Commander in the American Legion Post 611 and was also a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. Ed was an "avid bowler" and fisherman. Ed was preceded in death by first wife, Irene Wroblewski; second wife, Betty Taylor; brothers, Alfred and Charles; sister-in-law, Emily. Ed is survived by stepson, Lloyd Taylor; stepdaughter, Lois Scott; nephew, Byron Le Blanc; niece, Marilyn Combs and Lois Loicano; numerous extended family. Private services are pending in Santa Maria. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Heart or Cancer Association. www.bakersfield.com/obits
