John R. (Joe) Campbell Obituary
Joe was born in Los Angeles, was raised and attended school in Fresno, and moved to Kern County 48 years ago, spending his last 40 years in Wasco. He passed away at home, dying as he lived, his way.
Joe had been self-employed for the last 35 years in the business of buying/selling and delivering hay, as well as hauling cattle. He loved hauling cattle up to the mountains. He was well known and respected in the ag and cattle community for his ability to get the job done. Joe was the perfect example of a man who knew what a work ethic was, and he still firmly believed that a handshake was all you needed to seal a deal.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Minnie Campbell, and son, Joseph R. Campbell.
Joe is survived by longtime partner, Marjorie Albitre; children, Denise Jorgensen, Sherry Copeland, John Campbell, Jeff Campbell, Andrea Albitre; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; his Aunt Elsie; Aunt Betty (who he always enjoyed talking with); and cousins.
