Jose Alfredo "Joe" De La Rosa Obituary

Jose Alfredo De La Rosa Sr., "Joe" 53 of Bakersfield California entered into eternal life on January 14 2016. He was born on July 25, 1962 to parents Alfredo Garcia De La Rosa and Emilia Torres De La Rosa.

His profession as a millwright allowed him to assist in the building of multiple power and cement plants throughout California. Joe quickly grew to become a supervisor and lead in multiple projects stemming from the re-build of turbines with MII, Inc. and the building of bulk rooms used for storing various foods and goods while at Grimmway Farms. Joe assembled many of the tanks that are used in oilfield production to this day while working for Tiger Tanks. Joe also helped in the fabrication of tractor trailers that were responsible for delivering food to the local schools while working for Fordco Foods.

When Joe wasn't working, he was spending time making everyone around him laugh and smile. Joe was a master mechanic, and if you ever needed your car worked on you could go to him for a laugh and a tune-up, or an oil change. If he had a dollar in his pocket and you asked him for it, he would give it to you. His heart was huge and he will forever be missed.

Joe is preceded in death by his father, Alfredo Garcia De La Rosa and nephew, Anthony Pedro De Jesus. Joe leaves behind his mother, Emilia Torres De La Rosa; son, Joe Junior De La Rosa; granddaughter, Alayna Rose De La Rosa; son, Nick De La Rosa; wife, Diane De La Rosa; sisters, Maria Laura De La Rosa Frausto and Patricia De La Rosa Contreras; brother, Julio De La Rosa and baby sister, whom he loved very much, Diana De La Rosa. Information for services will be given by the family, please contact any one of them for details.
