In Memoriam Condolences

My Joe, November 28th is so close. Who could have guessed that in a blink of an eye, life as we knew it would forever change for the both of us. Genesis 2:18
"God made a helper suitable for him."
Suitable, not perfect, what did two young teens (13 &15) know about life or love. We vowed that we would take the challenge, resulting in 52 years, 3 kids and 13 grandchildren. I'm left with memories and a few pictures. This one tells our story in one glance. The world has not always been kind but as long as you had my back we would hold onto each other and move forward. I use to tell you it's just me and you babe and everything became manageable. The Lord found favor on us and equipped us with His armor and unending faith. You finished the race first and entered into your glory. There is no greater reward. I love you and thank you for your dedication and hard work.
Matt 22:30
tells me we will not be married. I'm confident it will only be a greater relationship when I get there.
I will wink at you, it will mean thank you. At Nikki's wedding, I reheard the vows you and I once exchanged and kept to the end. Our contract has been completed with death do us part.
Psalm 139:16
"The days were ordained."
There was nothing that could change what happened
These thoughts penned are painful and needed in accepting reality so that I can start living again.
To my friends, new and old, a special thank you for your compassion, a hug, some kind words or just a look that tells me they acknowledge the hurt I'm going through.
You're always in my heart,
Irene Barrios Mondragon
