Jose Torrez Aleman Obituary
Jose Torrez Aleman "Joe" September 11, 1936 - March 17, 2013 Jose "Joe" Aleman passed away after a short illness on March 17, 2013, with his family at his side. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Those who knew Joe were amazed at how well he handled life's challenges and constant battles with poor health. He had a passion for life and was ever thankful for the time he was able to spend with his family. Mr. Aleman worked as a farm supervisor for Bidart Brothers for 45 years and enjoyed being outdoors doing what he did best. That best included growing some of the finest cotton and potatoes in California! One of his greatest accomplishments on the farm was the construction and implementation of an in-ground irrigation system that was considered state-of-the-art at the time. Mr. Aleman was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Fidencia Aleman; and his son, Joe Aleman. Mr. Aleman is survived by nine children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joe loved all of his family and enjoyed spending time with them at home and special events. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan who never wavered despite his SF 49ers faithful family. Joe Aleman will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends who came to appreciate his positive attitude and strong will for life. We especially want to thank our sister Martha, who devoted her life toward assisting both parents in the latter stages of their lives. We would also like to thank Dr. Kevin P. Stiles and the Fresenius Dialysis staff. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2013, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m., at Greenlawn Southwest Celebration of Life Center, 2739 Panama Lane. Mass will be held on Friday, March 22, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 9915 Ramos St. For condolences please visit www.greenlawnmortuaryandcemetery.com.
