Jose-Trinidad Antonio Obituary
Jose-Trinidad Antonio Quintero "Joseph" January 14, 1977-January 7, 2013 Joseph Quintero, 35, was born January 14, 1977 in Fresno, California. He passed away peacefully at home on January 7, 2013 in Reno, Nevada. He was the eldest son of Louis Portillo Jr. and Gloria Quintero- Portillo. He was married to Heather Refuerzo in May of 2002, and started his family in Bakersfield, California before moving to Reno, Nevada. If there was ever a more generous soul, it was Joseph. He had such a big heart, so full of love. Devoted to those he loved, he was always just a phone call away. He enjoyed life, living it to the fullest. Some of his greatest enjoyments included spending time with his family, cooking, eating, listening and dancing to music, taking trips to the beach, doing outdoor activities, and telling jokes or stories. Some have said that he had more stories than the Bible! Joe was quite a character, the life of the party you may say. His greatest accomplishments were his pride and joy, his children. A man of faith, he put himself in God's hands, and is now resting among the angels in heaven. Joseph was preceded in death by his grandparents Joe M. and Rachel G. Quintero. He is survived by his loving family; his parents Louis and Gloria; his wife, Heather; his children, Jaona, Gabriel, and Genesis; and his siblings, Jon, Brandi, and Bernadette of Bakersfield, California. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, and those friends who became extended members of the family. Memorial with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on February 2, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bakersfield City Firefighters Union Hall, 7320 Wible Road, Bakersfield, California 93313. Celebration of Life and reception will follow. The family wishes to thank the following: Anthony Valadez and Caroll Higgins from Truckee Meadows for their care and services of Joseph, Rev. Tom Nelson of Saint Therese Church of the Little Flower, The Gomez Family and Carlos from Reno, Nevada, and all our family and friends for their love and support during this difficult time. www.bakersfield.com/obits
