Joseph Ray Johnson Sr. December 2, 1950 - December 6, 2010 Graveside services will be held Wed., Dec. 8th, at 1:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Those left behind to cherish his memories are: his wife of 27 years Denise Johnson; daughter, Melanie Johnson; sons, Joseph Johnson Jr. and Kevin Johnson; mother, Velma Hurt; brothers and sisters, David and Cindy Johnson, Ruth Ann Parks, Ricky and Debbie Johnson, Diana and Buck Floyd, Guy Patch, Mark and Susette Patch, Jennifer Patch; and many other family members that loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Johnson; brother, Johnny Johnson; sister, Dereatha Avera. Joseph Ray Johnson Sr. was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and moved to Bakersfield in 1963. He loved his family more than anything. He had a wonderful sense of humor and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. www.bakersfield.com/obits
