Judith Joanne Taylor Randel Murphy November 18, 1937 - October 2, 2012 Judy passed from this life into Jesus' eternal kingdom on October 2, 2012, following a lengthy battle with COPD. She was greeted at the gates by her beloved husband Raymond. Judy was born in Topeka, Kansas on November 18, 1937 to Pete and Betty Taylor. She lived in many places growing up as a Navy brat. She married the love of her life Raymond Wicker Murphy Sr on October 22, 1955. After moving to Lake Isabella from the L.A. area, she encouraged her husband Ray to start Bakersfield Lighting Specialists which eventually brought them to Bakersfield where she resided for the latter part of her life. Ray and Judy shared 49 wonderful years together. Not a day went by that Judy didn't miss him, and what a reunion it must have been when they were reunited in heaven exactly seven years later. Judy has left behind an amazing family to cherish her memory: Daughters: Darlene Rhoten and husband Richard. Judirae Ross and husband Fred. Son: Raymond Murphy Jr and wife Breezy. A special nephew: Garrettson Taylor. Brothers; Gary Taylor and Arthur Randel and wife Lisa. Sisters: Patsy Roberts and husband Stan, and Elsa Hart and sisters in law: Ramona Neal and Millie Murphy. 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews, her devoted and beloved canine companion Oreo, and a large extended family. Judy was proceeded into Paradise by her husband Raymond, son, Mark, parents Pete Taylor and Betty Taylor Randel, Step-father Arthur Randel, one brother, Jerry Neal, and brother in law George Murphy. The family extends an invitation to celebrate her life at a memorial service to be held Monday October 8, 2012 at 11am at Heritage Bible Church 2323 Mt Vernon Ave Bakersfield, Ca 93306.
