Julie Rae Roberts Obituary
Julie Rae Roberts 1941 - 2013 Julie Rae Roberts, born in Logan, Utah on April 10 1941, passed away, surrounded by family, at the age of 72 from complications after battling leukemia. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Darrell Roberts, their children Leslie Roberts-Walker and RaDene Girola, and 3 beautiful grandchildren, Christian Charles Walker, Jordan Louise Girola and Anthony Charles Girola, along with a vast array of close friends. In death, she will be joining her parents Ray and Margaret Jones. Julie will be remembered for her amazing talents as a hostess, seamstress, craftwoman, gourmet cook, exceptional party planner and giver, her wonderful sense of humor, and her love of the Central Coast, but mostly for the tremendous amount of love she had for her daughters, her grandchildren, her husband and her friends. Julie lived life to the fullest. She was always ready for adventure, and being with her was in itself an adventure. She never met a stranger. She touched the lives of countless people and made everyone she met feel special. Whoever knew Julie immediately called her a friend, even if it was after a quick conversation in the grocery line. Julie will be in our hearts forever. She left all of us with many memories and tangible crafted keepsakes. She is embarking on her last, great adventure which most certainly goes with the words that she loved to say: "Every day with Goondi is an adventure!" Fly safe and well until we are all together again. We miss you and will love you forever. The family will be celebrating her life at a private party. www.bakersfield.com/obits
