Karen Sue Green Mackall Obituary
Karen Sue Green Mackall had her fiery earthly birth on the 4th of July in 1953. She was born in Joliet, Illinois. to Don and Dorothy Green. Her family included sister Nancy Werner. "Aunt Hazel" was a family friend and Karen always remembered her for decades until Hazel went to the Lord. She meet her husband to be at Church youth group and married Dale Mackall in 1976.
Karen graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering. God led Karen and Dale to an amazing career at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center in California. Karen and Dale built a large log home in the foothills of the Tehachapi Mountains. There, they raised the three boys; Lance, Adam and Robert. Karen's biggest achievements where her boys, her selfless giving of time and money to the things of the one true God and her legacy of dedication, and loyalty to all.
Karen went to Jesus's arms on Saturday, June 14, 2014. She is survived by Husband Dale Mackall, Sons; Lance, Adam, and Robert. Grandchildren: Hailey Joyce, Grace Jean, Peyton Federick, Audrey Love, Braedon Glenn and Baby Mackall due in September! She is also survived by her father Don Green and sister Nancy Werner. Many thanks to all our family and friends! Thanks to our NASA family. Deep love and peace to all at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Tehachapi, and St. John's Lutheran Church in Bakersfield.
Karen donated her body to science, not surprising!
A celebration of Karen's life will be held at: St. John's Lutheran Church this Saturday, June 28th, at 10:00am, 4500 Buena Vista Rd., Bakersfield, CA
