Karl Gray Obituary

Karl Warren Gray November 4, 1921 - October 18, 2010 Our wonderful Karl Gray went to be with our Lord on October 18, 2010. His loving wife Charlene preceded him in death. He was a member of the 30th Infantry "Old Hickory" Division and landed on Omaha Beach in Normandy, France on D-Day + 4. He also participated in the Battle of the Bulge. When his "Grand Tour" of Europe was finished, he returned to work at Standard Oil, El Segundo where he was a surveyor for 43 years. He will be forever missed by his daughter, Karlene Copenhaver and her husband Gene; his son, Neil Gray; granddaughter, Gina Koczynski and her husband Tom; grandson, Scott Copenhaver and wife Debbie. He was also loved by grandchildren, Caitlyn and Nathan Koczynski and Cody and Nikki Copenhaver. Memorial services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be Thursday evening. www.bakersfield.com/obits
