Katherine Mary Sinclare Obituary
Katherine Mary Sinclare September 12, 1923 - July 18, 2013 Early on the morning of July 18, 2013 a very bright light went out on earth, and a new shining star appeared in the heavens. Our mom, Katherine Mary Sinclare left us to join her husband and our dad who has been waiting nearly 30 years. She left us just short of her 90th birthday, but what a great run. Her capacities to love, comfort and share were her hallmarks. Moving from her hometown of St. Louis, Mo. in 1981 to Bakersfield she didn't waste any time meeting new friends and becoming active in the community. In addition to working at several stores she enjoyed, that included "Reflections" and "Westchester Florist", she made time to work as a volunteer for the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary for 15 years, and her greatest love for the past 11 years was assisting the beautiful children that are served by "Foster Grandparents". There are some very apparent and indelible marks left on those she loved and all she met. Her passing leaves a large hole in the earth, but those she influenced will quickly fill this void. She was a living testament to the existence and wonders of God. Your family and friends will miss you, but cannot grieve for a life so well lived. Goodbye, God Bless and Thank You. Mom leaves behind great friends and those who truly cared about her and a family that really loved her. Her family she leaves includes her last remaining sibling, her brother Jack, her daughter and her husband Kathleen & John Hasche, her sons and their wives Stephen & Becky Sinclare, and Mark and Kathryn Sinclare. Her grandchildren, the loves of her life Seth and his wife Kristin, Lindsey & Kristina, and her beautiful great granddaughter Sydney Rose. Also extended members of the Whittemore, Zachary and Barnhard families. P.S. Mom, Keep sending those notes! Thanks to the medical staff of Kaiser Permanente with sincere and special admiration for the years of care provided by Dr. Sujatha Desai and Dr. Stiles. A celebration mass will be held on Wednesday July 24th at 9:00 AM at St. Francis Church, 900 H Street, Bakersfield, CA 93304. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Francis Church www.bakersfield.com/obits
