Kelly Anne Green Graham Obituary
Kelly Anne Green Graham, also known to her family as "Goo-Goo," was born on July 2nd, 1934 to John Kelly Green and Annie Fern Marshall Green of Roaring Springs, Texas. Kelly passed away January 4, 2015 surrounded by her family at the age of 80 years old. She was a loving mother and grandmother and her family takes comfort in knowing that she had a strong Christian faith and that she is with Jesus.
She attended school in Roaring Springs, Texas and graduated from Roaring Springs High School as Salutatorian in 1952. She married William Curtis Graham of Matador, Texas in January of 1952. They then moved to Camp Pendleton, California because her husband was in the Marine Corps. Afterwards, they returned and settled in the city of Graham, Texas.
She moved to Bakersfield, California in 1974 and attended Bakersfield College and California State University of Bakersfield. She was employed by Kern County Human Services in the foster care division for thirteen years. After retiring, she spent her time with her children and grandchildren, gardening, traveling, watching humming birds outside her kitchen window, and especially enjoyed the companionship of her beloved Chihuahua, "Lucy Pearl".
Kelly was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan and never missed watching a game. She also loved all things Irish including bagpipes and anything colored green. She placed family first above all other things and was very proud of her children and grandchildren and their accomplishments. She always enjoyed celebrating the 4th of July with her family in a patriotic and grand manner because it was so close to her birthday.
She is preceded in death by her parents John Kelly Green, Annie Fern Marshall Green, her brother Gaines Duff Green, and the father of her children William Curtis Graham.
She is survived by her five children daughter Vickie Charmaine Findley and husband Tim and their two sons Byron and Andrew of Bakersfield, her daughter Duetta Anne Reilly and husband Paul of Bakersfield, daughter Tori Michelle Reape of Tuba City, Arizona and son Brendan of Fairfield, Iowa, son John Lane Graham and wife Sherry and their two sons A.J. and Parker of Bakersfield, daughter Regina Kelly Gottwald and husband Tom and their children Casey Gottwald and his family Frankie Wright, and their daughter Lauren Gottwald, Ashten Smith, Nicholas and Madeline Gottwald of Bakersfield, and her beloved dog "Lucy Pearl".
