On Thursday, February 4th, 2016 Kerry Green of Bakersfield California, having solved all mysteries on Earth decided to move on to heaven for a new round of adventures.
Kerry was born in Tooele Utah to Oceana and Clair Green on July 12th, 1953. As a young man he was active in band and sea scouts. In high school he met a stunningly beautiful girl by the name of Nancy on a church retreat who would later become his wife of nearly 42 years. Just after graduating high school Kerry joined the Air Force Reserves and served on medical transport planes bringing the last American soldiers and kids home from Vietnam.
After getting married, Kerry and Nancy found themselves in Mission Viejo where their first son, Michael was born. They then moved to what would be their hometown, Bakersfield and added two more to their family, Kevin and Katie as well as numerous pets.
While in Bakersfield Kerry became a very influential member in the medical, and specifically the respiratory therapy, community. In his career in Bakersfield he worked a multiple hospitals including KMC, Mercy, and Memorial, the Heart Hospital, and taught at San Joaquin Valley College.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy, his children; Michael, Kevin, and Katie; two grandchildren, Joshua and Emily; one sister, Ronda; and one dog, Winston.
A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, February 11th at 3;30pm at Olive Knolls Church on Fruitvale Ave.
