Larry Clark Williams

02/24/1949 - 05/19/2014 Obituary
We mourn the loss of our loved one, our daily example of honesty, trust, dedication and love and heaven rejoices as he enters his eternal home with Jesus Christ. No more pain, no more sleepless nights and because of that his family takes comfort as they temporarily say goodbye.
In honoring Larry's request, there will be a private family graveside service. The family invites you to join them in a Memorial/Celebration of Larry's Life, on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 4:00 PM at the home of son, Jeff, 12202 Trackside Dr., Bakersfield, CA 93312, where food, fellowship and stories will be shared.
Larry was born February 24, 1949 to Clark and Mary Williams, in Bakersfield, California and was called home on May 19, 2014, his mother's birthday. He held many jobs through the years, but he cherished the time spent with his dad and brother working in the custom hay business. He inherited his wood working gifts from his grandfather and dad. He loved creating special gifts, using materials from anything he could find. He made doll beds for the girls, cedar chests, even a chicken coop that could be classified as a "Hilton". The sail boat he built was beautiful and slightly damaged over the years. He so wanted to restore it with the help of his grandson, Gavin, but his health prevented it.
Larry was blessed to spend his last days in the presence of family and friends. The stories and expressions of love brought comfort and peace. Leaving to cherish his memory is his wife of 39 years, Annette, sister Regina Houchin and husband Albert of Buttonwillow, brother Joe and wife Donna of Bakersfield, his children, daughters; Tanya and husband Dave Bradford of Fontana, CA , Candace and husband Joey Garcia of Claremont, CA, Carollee and husband Aaron Witherspoon of Bakersfield, Katie Williams and boyfriend Chris Roach of Bakersfield, and sons; both of Bakersfield, Jeff and wife Lisa Williams and Matt and wife Amanda Williams. He was extremely proud of his grandchildren, Kayla, Alec, Gavin, Ryleigh, Paxton, Kingston, Ainsley, Ellington, Carrington, Tatum, Mason, Jonas, Olive, McKenzie and Maddox. His many nieces, nephews and cousins each held a special place in his heart.
Special thanks are extended to Optimal Hospice for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the .
