Lendel Ronald "Ron" Lee Obituary
Lendel Ronald Lee was called home on July 12, 2014. His life began in Century, Florida on January 25,1947. He grew up in Alabama and then moved to the Bakersfield area where he attended South High school. In 1965 after graduation he proudly joined the United States Marine Corps and served his country during the Vietnam War. It was in Bakersfield he met the love of his life Shari (Cheryl) and they were married for 47 wonderful years. Ron led a very active life-getting his private pilots' license, loved scuba diving, hunting, fishing, riding on the Oregon dunes and beaches and watching FoxNews. He was a man who loved his family dearly. Never sought the spotlight, but was content to be the support needed. He was a world traveler that loved his Ireland most.
Dad was the anchor to our family that now feels adrift without him. We find peace and comfort that he is now at home with his Lord and Savior.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Lavinia and his sister Trena. He is survived by his wife Cheryl (Shari), son Jason, daughter Kimberly, granddaughters Lauren and Erynn, his brother Timothy and numerous family and friends. We miss him already.
Visitation will be held at Greenlawn southwest on Monday July 21, 2014 from 4:00-8:00pm.
