 Leonard Hernandez May 28, 1944 - June 12, 2012 Leonard was born in Junction, Texas, and passed away in Los Angeles with his family by his side. He was 68. Leonard was a truck driver and worked for O.K. Produce in Fresno for 29 years. After moving back to Bakersfield in 2005, he drove for Puente Trucking, until retiring in 2008. He was a big fan of the Lakers and Raiders. Leonard was loved by everyone who knew him. He was a devoted husband, son, brother, father, and grandfather. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving from 1965 to 1967. He graduated from East Bakersfield High in 1962. He always had a joke to tell. The joy and laughter he brought will forever be in our hearts. Leonard was preceded in death by brothers, Oscar, Tony, Jr., Ricky, and Benny. He is survived by his wife, Linda; parents Antonio and Amelia Hernandez; son, Leo; brothers, Charlie (Rachel), Bobby (Rose), and Ruben Hernandez; sister, Alicia (Jim). He is also survived by stepchildren, Ed, Chris, and Arlene Arambula; along with 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; 3 beautiful goddaughters, Yvonne Vallejo, Savanna Bateman, and April Torres. He also leaves behind his pride and joy, '59 Chevy pickup, "Maggie." Visitation will be held on Monday, June 18, 2012, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Chapel, 3700 River Blvd. A chapel service will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at 9:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be Robert, Jr., James, Randy, Josh, and Tony Hernandez, and Jason Borunda.
