Leta June Malm June 22, 1929 - July 15, 2013 She spent her last days surrounded by her loved ones and passed away quietly on July 15, 2013. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Preceded in death by husband Elmer, son Tom Nordman, daughter Darla Smith, sister Alta Garner and Brothers Glen, Leonard, and Charles McAlary, and her beloved dog and best friend Freckles. Survived by her seven children: Bob Nordman; Brenda Tippins (Bill); Clarence Nordman; Craig Nordman (Connie); Kellie Koonce (Brent); Terri Brasier (Tony); Marva Nisson (Klint) and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Leta was born in Meeker, Colorado and was loved by all. She had a big heart and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. She truly touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with. She worked at Mercy Hospital for 30 years in housekeeping, then spent 8 years in Central Service at San Joaquin Hospital. She loved to work and met many wonderful people along the way. Leta was very gifted with her hands. She could make anything by just looking at a picture. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, embroidering and many other crafts. She never met a quilt she didn't like. She was always up for anything and loved spending time with family and friends. She was a wonderful grandmother and loved all of her grandchildren dearly. She will definitely be missed by all that were blessed enough to cross her path. Chapel services will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Mortuary, 3700 River Blvd, Bakersfield, California 93305.
