Linberg Williams September 19, 1930 - October 12, 2012 Linberg (Lin) Williams, 82, was born on September 19,1930 in Maud, Texas to Willie and Louella Williams. He was one of seven brothers and four sisters. Lin accepted Christ at an early age. Lin worked over 40 years in highway construction and helped build Highway 58, one of Bakersfield's main freeways. He loved to go fishing and one of his greatest joys was cooking. He didn't have any special recipes, just his God given talent. He survived by his loving and faithful wife, Oneeta Williams which he enjoyed a 49 year relationship, two daughters, Lillian Holley of Seattle, Washington and Anita Ware of Los Angeles, California; his surviving siblings are, Ellick Williams of New Boston, Texas and Emma Sue Thompson and Vannie Williams both of Maud, Texas. He also leaves behind four special grandchildren, Darrin Rayford (wife Liz), Kelly Jackson (husband Eddie), Chei Brown (husband Wesley) and Jeanene Conley, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter and one great-great granddaughter on the way. Four of his great-grandchildren, Bo Brothers, Kei Jackson, Kimberly Brothers and Jalyn Brown were especially dear to him because he helped raise them. Lin also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, his Elks Lodge Brothers and many others friends to cherish his memories. Lin's Graveside funeral service will be Friday, October 19th, at 1:00 pm in Greenlawn Southwest Cemetery, 2379 Panama Lane, Bakersfield. A viewing and visitation is scheduled for Thursday, October 18th, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church, 700 S. Haley Street.
