Louis Charles Candelaria Obituary
Louis Charles Candelaria went home to be with Jesus Christ, his Lord and savior on April 18 , 2015. Louis was born on November 7, 1943 in Bakersfield, CA where he lived all his life.
Louis is survived by his wife Rose Lee of Bakersfield, CA; his son Chris (Amy) Candelaria, daughter Renee (Brock ) Humecky; his brother Tim Candelaria; his grandchildren Brooke & Aidan Humecky, Niclas DeAngelis, Jacob Fieguth; and great-grandson Andre DeAngelis and his numerous other friends and relatives.
Louis was preceded in death by his Father Chet Candelaria, Mother, Lillie Fabbri Candelaria and Sister Lannie Candelaria.
Louis attended local grammar school and graduated from East High School in 1962 and then attended B.C. Shortly After graduating from High School Louis began working for Tidewater Oil Company, driving an oil truck.
He began his career at Getty Oil Company in 1965. After 39 years retired from Chevron in 2004 as head operator from station #36
Louis was an avid Dodger fan, true blue to the end. He also enjoyed NASCAR and supported the local race car drivers, especially Kevin Harvick. He was a life time season ticket holder and fan of the Bakersfield College Renegades football team.
Candyman (his nick name) will be remembered with love and fond memories by all his family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles St) from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 23, 2015. Funeral services will be held in the Basham Funeral Care Chapel on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery (River Blvd).
