1926 - 2016 Obituary Condolences
Louise Ulmer died September 13, 2016 in Reno NV at the age of 89 from end stage cancer. Born in Englefeld, Saskatchewan, Canada to Maria Pavlus and Ferdinand Augustus Streicker and was one of 10 children. She attended primary school in Englefeld, High School at Scott Collegiate in Regina, Saskatchewan and graduated from a 3 year nursing degree program in 1948 from Regina Grey Nuns Catholic Hospital.
She married Harry Lewis Ulmer November 30, 1949 and moved the family to Bakersfield, Ca. After 62 years of marriage, Harry died on June 10, 2011 as well as her son Mickey on November 12, 2011. Louise moved to Santa Barbara, Ca. in 2012 where she remained until her death. She worked as a Registered nurse from ages 22 to 75. She loved to ice skate and ride horses in her youth. Sewing and fashion were her passion as well as reading, playing cards and traveling with her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Louise is predeceased by her husband Harry and her son William Michael Ulmer of San Antonio, TX. Survivors include daughters Kathy Bray (Tim) of Reno, NV. and Laurie Cordeniz (Dennis) of Santa Barbara, CA. as well as 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She will be remembered as a kind loving mother and wife and devoted grandmother and will be greatly missed.
Private services will be held Nov. 5 at Walton's Funeral Home, Reno, NV.
