Lowell was such a gifted musician and generous man. I miss him terribly but will always hold dear his "father son" talks with me about leading the choir. Betty, we all love you and hold you in our hearts over the loss of your dearly beloved one.

Betty, what sadness we feel as we read about the loss of Lowell. We have fond memories of you two in choir and how much you loved and prayed for Scott. Lowell was a role model for him and will be missed. I trust God will be your comforter and caregiver through this time of loss.

Dear Betty and Family,
One of my earliest memories at the Shafter M.B. Church was when you and Lowell announced your engagement. I remember when the two of you were in charge of opening music for the children's Sunday School Department, which I was a part of. My mother, Juanita always spoke fondly of her cousin Lowell as well. You have always been a very special couple, using your gifts to bring glory to God.
May God comfort you all in the days ahead.

Dear Betty & Family: I am so sorry for your loss. Ed had so many fond memories of your family and even after Ed's passing you kept in touch with me by way of Christmas cards. Lowell had a gift which he shared with many people (his beautiful voice). Be consoled with the many memories you hold dear.

Dearest Aunt Betty, Lucy and Gordon,
This is hard for me to take! None of us ever wanted to lose Uncle Lowell on this earth. Wow, what a cute laugh, gorgeous smile, and warmth all wrapped up in a great addition to our family. Dear Betty and family: We're so sorry to hear of Lowell's sudden passing. He has been such a gift to the world. I sang in the Shafter choir under him, he sang at my wedding and then you both sang at my father's funeral not so long ago- all appreciated blessings/gifts. Dear Betty , Gordon and Lucy..so sorry to hear of Lowell's passing. He was so special to our family and we loved him dearly. He had such a warm heart and soft spirit. He had a huge impact on my life as I was growing up...what a blessing his gift for music was as he so faithfully ministered in music not only in our church but outside our church. He sang at my wedding and at my parent's 50th anniversary....May God give you the comfort and peace and strength at this time. I know you will miss him so much...I do know too the he is singing with angels today!!! So happy that I have his voice on a CD my parents gave me from Men of the Gospel many years ago

Gordon, I was sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I will always remember him with a smile and an encouraging word. Although I hadn't seen your parents in many years I recently had an opportunity to speak with them at Roberta Schellenberg,s funeral. They seemed exactly the same as I remembered them from when we were in high school. We will keep you, Lucy, your mom and all your families in our prayers.

I was surprised and saddened to learn of Lowell's death. The warmth of the man was always evident whenever we met and talked. Lowell was one of the most socially intelligent men I've ever known. He always put people at their ease as they entered into the circle of warmth he always generated while in discourse with him. Lowell was one of the first people to employ me and gave me a start when first I started my business of checking fields for farmers. I owe him for that as well as for his companionship and friendship! Godspeed, Lowell. I know you're where you belong now.
