Lucien Tancrede Blackburn Obituary
Lucien Tancrede Blackburn 87, of Brownsburg, IN died on June 16, 2014. Born February 24, 1927, in Alma, Quebec, Canada. He was the son of Pitre Blackburn and Anna Imbeau Blackburn of Chicoutimi, Quebec, Canada. Lucien married Yolande Lachance, his wife of 67 years, on September 27, 1947 in Welland Ontario Canada. He lived in Port Colbourn, Ontario, where he worked for the Cement Plant until 1962. Lucien and Yolande moved their family to Glendale, CA from 1962-1992. He worked for the Motion Picture Industry as a General Foreman of props until his retirement in 1989. Lucien and Yolande lived in Bakersfield, CA from 1992-2011 at which time they moved to Roland Manor in Brownsburg, IN.
Lucien is survived by his wife Yolande, four sons: Roger, Yvon, Yvan and Robert Blackburn and daughter Ginette (Thomas) Docktor.Lucien was a loving husband and a passionate, encouraging and loving grandfather to five generations of grand and great grandchildren. Lucien was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. He was loved by many who enjoyed his stories, his humor and his joy for living life to its fullest.
The family will be receiving family and friends from 9:30 to 10:30 at St. Malachy in Brownsburg, IN on Saturday, June 21,2014 prior to the 11:00 Memorial Service. Donations may be made to St. Malachy or the .
