M. Clyde Brazeel Obituary
M. Clyde Brazeel October 15, 1921 - May 30, 2012 Clyde was born in Yuma, Arizona, to Hilmer and Arbie Brazeel in 1921. He moved to Bakersfield in 1939 and graduated from Bakersfield College in 1941. He joined the Marines during WWII on March 26, 1942. He was a pilot and left the Marines as a Captain in 1946. Clyde found the love of his life and was married to LaRue Edwards in December, 1943. Clyde worked for several oil companies in Bakersfield and retired from Dowell Chemical Oil Company in 1984. Clyde moved to the San Diego area in 2002 following the home-going of his beloved LaRue, to be near his daughter and family. He is survived by his daughter Susan Ballard, son and daughter-in-law Bruce and Jan Brazeel, sister, Mildred Barker, 4 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Clyde had many friends in Bakersfield where he resided for 60 years. He was buried next to his wife at a private graveside in Bakersfield. www.bakersfield.com/obits
