Margaret Louise Johnson September 28, 1926 - November 15, 2012 Margaret Louise Johnson was born September 28, 1926 in Cordell, Oklahoma and passed away November 15, 2012. Margaret's family (Cain) moved to California in 1936 from Oklahoma and worked up and down the state picking fruit and as farm laborers. The Cain family settled in Arvin in 1939 and Margaret met and married Clarence Johnson in 1943. They raised 5 children on their farm in the Arvin-Lamont area. She is survived by sons, Bill Johnson and wife Della, Larry Johnson and wife Kim, Roy Johnson and wife Linda; daughters Alma Howard, Paula Canterberry and Jo Joyce whom she loved like a daughter. She is survived by two sisters, Mildred Fulkerson and JoAnn Lacertoso and many nieces and nephews. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She was known for her kindness and generosity. She loved baking her famous chocolate pies and oatmeal cookies for family and friends. Preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Clarence W. Johnson; her mother Lona Belle Cain, father Thomas Cain and her brothers Earl and Tom Cain. The family would like to thank the many friends and caregivers that touched Margaret's life during her struggle with Alzheimers.
