Maria "Angie" Alvarez Obituary
Maria "Angie" Alvarez, age 75, of Bakersfield went home to her Lord and Savior on September 20, 2014. Maria was born in Brownsville, Texas, on October 8, 1938, to Tony Moreno and Rebecca Trevino.  Angie, as she was lovingly called, became mom to her 8 siblings when her mom, Rebecca, died. She followed her dreams along with her caring heart, worked hard and devoted to become a CNA. Angie had a true sparkle in her eye in the form of a heart. She gave everyone her undivided attention, even while in the hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Jose Alvarez Sr. of Bakersfield; sons, Roy and Joe Jr. of Bakersfield and Javier of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; daughter, Geneve Alvarez; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
