Marilyn was born in Bakersfield CA to Martin Smith and Sylvia (Huffman) Smith. She passed away peacefully at her home at Windcreek Senior Care. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Virginia Boyce and Carolyn Pangall and her beloved husband Charles "Ray Dean" Burrow.
She was the kind of person that never met a stranger, she could talk to anyone and was always there to lend a helping hand. She enjoyed painting and making porcelain dolls, camping and fishing and socializing with friends. After she stopped driving at 72 she took up walking and she would walk everywhere and of course made more friends along her way.
Marilyn is survived by her brother: Martin (Buddy) Smith of Fresno, daughters Stacy (Wayne) Cox and Paula Wilemon. Two grandchildren: Carly Carroll and Alan Wilemon, Five great grandchildren: Kelsey Cox-Williams, Bowdy Carroll, Hunter Carroll, Nixon Wilemon, Hudson Wilemon and Two great-great grandchildren: Korrie Kelsey and Ryit Williams.
She will be missed by many that she had touched in her life but we know she is in a better place. Special thanks to the women at Windcreek, Fe, Angel and Monique for all the care and love they showered her with and also Hoffman Hospice and ADAKC our family appreciated your assistance.
Visitation will be held April 6, 2016 at Mish at 120 Minner Ave. Bakersfield CA 93308, 4-8p.m.
