Marilyn Sims Hoschouer

01/17/1956 - 10/22/2014 Obituary
Marilyn Sims Hoschouer was born in Bakersfield as the tenth child into a family of thirteen children, and
lived her entire life In Bakersfield. She learned at an early age to help out with many of the chores that needed to be done to keep such a large family going, and loved being part of those activities. As young as four, she was able to sweep the floor with a broom almost three times her height.
Marilyn loved board and card games, and was a fierce and serious opponent; quickly adding and subtracting in her head while the rest of us frantically counted on our fingers. She was tough to beat and was a sore loser! Marilyn was very pretty with beautiful green eyes so expressive that you could tell her mood without her speaking. Her years of illness marred her beauty, but her eyes never changed.
Marilyn was Mother to Matthew and Sarah, Grandmother to Scott, daughter to Lucille Ferguson, sister to Paula Boles, Caroline Wellborn, Judy Salvamoser, Gwen Schmitt, Trina King and Carly King. She was preceded in death by her father, four brothers, and two sisters. Marilyn was a special child of God and very special to all of us, and her love for us was without limits.
Graveside services will be Thursday October 30th, at 11:00 am at Greenlawn on Panorama and River Blvd.
