Martina Aros, 89, passed in Bakersfield. Martina was married to Frank Aros on August 12, 1950. She retired from San Joaquin Hospital after 23 years. During her retirement, she spent time tending her flowers and plants. She took great pride lovingly crocheting baby blankets for family and friends. She enjoyed sewing and going to the mall with her sisters and finding the best sales. Mom's greatest joy were her grandchildren. When mom and dad camped in their 5th wheel, which seemed like all the time, they would have one of the grandkids with them.
Martina is survived by her children Reynaldo and Jay Aros, Anita Boone, foster son Adrian Garcia, sisters Emma Adame, Nellie Hernandez and Josie Sanchez, 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Frank Aros, siblings Johnny, Ynacio (Shorty), Frank Acosta and Carmen Carrisalez.
The family would like to thank her two caregivers, Pam and Rachel, for their wonderful care and friendship.
Visitation and rosary will be held Monday, April 25th, 6p.m. at Greenlawn Mortuary River Blvd. Mass will be held Tuesday, April 26th, 9a.m. at St. Francis Church. Burial to follow at Greenlawn River Blvd.
