Mavis Maud Weick Prudhomme, 91 was born on February 28, 1923, in Queensland, Australia and passed away on May 28, 2014 in Bakersfield, California. She is survived by two sisters in Queensland - Glenda Siddins and Daphne Hawkins, three sons - Paul and Nancy of La Pine, Oregon; Peter and Marianne, grandson Peter "PJ" of Ventura, California; and Mark and grandson Mason of Bakersfield, California; Lisa Prudhomme and many nieces and nephews in Australia and America.
Mavis loved to attend exercise classes, church services, play cards and dance in Kern City where she lived and loved to walk. She loved to spend time with family, especially grandsons Mason and "PJ". She owned and operated El Tejon Body Shop and National Glass for many years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard J. Prudhomme, who she met and married during WWII. Leonard was stationed in Queensland and they met there a a USO dance.
Mavis's wish was to be cremated and no services held.
