Maxcimino Pena "Max" Rodriguez Jr. Obituary
Max, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed on December 30th in Los Angeles, California at the age of 70. He was born January 5, 1944 in Ballinger, Texas. At the age of 7 he moved with his parents to Bakersfield, California.
Max graduated from East High School in 1963 and attended Bakersfield College. He was drafted into the Army in 1966 and proudly served our country. He was a member of the Local 220 Laborers Union and worked many years for Griffith and Omega Construction Company.
He was generous and a hardworking man. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events. He was their number one fan. Max also was an active bike rider and enjoyed visiting his friends around the neighborhood.
Max is survived by his wife Diane Rodriguez, son Max "Popa" Rodriguez, daughter Maryann Rodriguez and grandchildren Ryan Rodriguez, Eric Parra, Joey Parra, Jasmine Rodriguez and Madeline Rodriguez. He is also survived by his mother Lydia Rodriguez, brothers Adolph, Pete, Roy, Abel and sisters Linda Sumler and Lori McMahan. Deceased family members father Maxcimino and brother Londie.

Viewing January 7th from 4-6pm at Doughty- Calhoun-O'Meara. Rosary January 8 to be held at 8:30 am with mass starting at 9:00am at St. Francis Church. Reception at church hall following service. Burial January 9th at 1O:45am at Bakersfield National Cemetery
