Melissa Frasier Obituary
Melissa Jane Frasier, 41, passed away peacefully at her home in Martinez, California on August 27, 2014 after a nearly 3-year battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, which she fought valiantly. She was born in Phoenix, Arizona to Linden and Linda (Bresadola) Frasier and spent time during her youth living in Oregon, California, Michigan and Maine. She graduated from Scarborough High School in Scarborough, Maine in 1990.
Although she lived in Northern California at the time of her death, she spent many years in Bakersfield attending CSUB and working at State Farm Insurance as an underwriter. Besides being survived by her parents, she is also survived by her sister, Jessica, and brother-in-law, Ted Nicholas; her nephew and niece, Chase and Chloe Nicholas (all of Bakersfield) as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. All who knew and loved her will miss her smile, her wonderful sense of humor and her bright wit.
The family would like to thank Dr. Alice Kengla, Kaiser Permanente of Walnut Creek, CA, and Dr. Sally Arai of Stanford University Medical Center, and the whole Stanford BMT team for their support, and the superb care she received during her treatment of this disease.
In lieu of flowers, Melissa's family requests that donations be made to the Blood and Marrow Transplantation Unit at Stanford University School of Medicine either online or by calling (650)723-0822.
Funeral Services for Melissa will be private.
